Monroe man guilty of felony OWI charge

MONROE - Donald P. Nichols, 51, Janesville, was found guilty in Green County Circuit Court Thursday, Oct. 13 after pleading guilty to a charge of a fifth- or sixth-offense of operating a vehicle with restricted or controlled substance, a class H felony, stemming from a Nov. 13 incident.

Court records indicate that Nichols was eastbound on Wisconsin 11, west of County G, in the Town of Spring Grove, when he was found to be operating a vehicle with THC in his blood.

Nichols was sentenced to 36 months probation, sentence withheld, with conditions of 12 months jail time and a fine of $1,449.
