BRODHEAD - Lorraine L. Reigle, age 80, of Brodhead, passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. She was born on July 18, 1928 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Daniel and Maude (Allen) Margeson. She married William "Bill" Reigle Jr. on September 26, 1953 in Beloit.
Lorraine graduated from Beloit High School in 1947. She was a homemaker and was a babysitter. She was a member of the Brodhead United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling, the ocean, reading, and the New Orlean's skyline.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; four children, Linda (Norman) Strothman, Brodhead, Billie (Tom Palombi) Pankhurst, Orfordville, Thomas (Lyla) Reigle, Janesville, Paul (Diana) Reigle, Juda; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Daniel; two siblings in infancy; and two sisters, Ruth and Frances.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 10, 2008, at the United Methodist Church, Brodhead, with Rev. Steve Groves officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday at the D.L. NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI, and from 10 a.m. until time of services at the church on Monday. A memorial fund will be established.
