Green County Sheriff

On Jan. 7:

● At 6:54 a.m., Deputies responded to the W4200 blk of Exeter Crossing Rd, Exeter Township, for a one vehicle accident.  Investigation found that a vehicle operated by, Alexis S. Radl, 17, of Belleville, was traveling east on Exeter Crossing Road.  Radl’s vehicle entered the north ditch and struck a tree.  Radl was able to get out of the ditch before it became disabled.  Radl reported no injuries and was wearing her seatbelt.  There was no airbag deployment in the vehicle.  The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene

On Jan. 8:

● At approximately 4:43 p.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of State Highway 11 and State Highway 69, Town of Monroe, for a report of a two vehicle accident with no injuries reported. Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Lesley Smith, 60, of New Glarus, was operating eastbound through the intersection continuing onto State Highway 11. A second vehicle operated by Logan Moore, 17, of Argyle, was northbound on State Highway 69. Moore’s vehicle collided with Smith’s vehicle. Smith, Smith’s juvenile passenger and Moore reported wearing seatbelts as well as no injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene. There was airbag deployment in Moore’s vehicle. As a result of the investigation, Smith was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.

On Jan. 9:

On Jan. 9:

● At 8:53 a.m., Deputies responded to the N3500 block of Aebly Road, in the Town of Monroe, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Alexa H.J. McWorthy, 19 of Monroe lost control of her vehicle due to icy road conditions. The vehicle stuck a road sign before entering the ditch and coming to rest. McWorthy reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

● At 4:01 p.m., Deputies responded to the W3000 block of Main Street, in the Town of Jefferson for a Disorderly Conduct incident. Investigation resulted in Christopher J. Logan, 41 of Juda being arrested for a warrant through Winnebago County. Logan was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court. Logan was also cited for Disorderly Conduct.

On Jan. 10:

● At 5:30 a.m., Deputies responded to the N6300 block of County Highway A, in the Town of Adams, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Jacob A. Castello, 43 of Argyle was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy road conditions. The vehicle then entered the west ditch and collided with a parked trailer. Castello reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy. Castello’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene. The trailer sustained minor damage and remained on scene.

On Jan. 13:

● At 3:29 p.m., Deputies along with Brodhead Fire Department and Brodhead EMS responded to the W400 block of County Highway E, in the Town of Decatur, for a single vehicle roll over crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Dana M. Sangermano, 17 of Brodhead, was traveling northbound when the vehicle entered the gravel shoulder causing Sangermano to lose control of the vehicle. The vehicle then entered the ditch and rolled. Sangermano and her passenger reported no injuries, were wearing their seatbelts, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

On Jan. 14:

● At approximately 11:10 a.m., Deputies responded to the 100 block of N Pratt Rd, Village of Monticello, for a report of a single vehicle accident with no injuries reported. Investigations found Lisa M Goecks, 57, of Blanchardville, was performing a backing maneuver when she struck a utility pole. Goecks denied injury, reported wearing her seatbelt, and no airbag deployment. Goecks’ vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.

On Jan. 15:

● At 9:00 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue, in the City of Brodhead. Investigation resulted in the driver, Robert G. Christianson, 60 of Brod-head being arrested for a probation violation. Christianson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail. Christian-son was also cited for failure to install an ignition interlock device.

On Dec. 23:

● 6:13 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Darlington Township for a vehicle in the ditch. Darlington Police assisted on scene. 

● 6:21 a.m. A deputy responded to STH 23, Willow Springs Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 6:24 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH D, Fayette Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 6:34 AM A deputy responded to CTH O, Kendall Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 6:52 a.m. A deputy responded to Mitchell Hollow RD, Belmont Township for an abandoned vehicle. 

● 7:29 a.m. Benton First Response and Cuba City EMS responded to Knee Deep RD, New Diggings Township for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene. 

● 7:46 a.m. A deputy responded to CTH K, Darlington Township for livestock on the roadway. 

● 9:13 a.m. A deputy responded to Dimmicks RD, Monticello Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 9:58 a.m. Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to E Main ST, Village of Benton for a medical emergency. A deputy assisted on scene. 

● 10:40 a.m. A deputy responded to Dunbarton RD, Gratiot Township for an alarm. 

● 10:54 a.m. A deputy responded to S Mound AV, Village of Belmont for a check welfare. 

● 11:53 a.m. A deputy responded to Dump RD, Benton Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 12:15 p.m. Benton First Response and Hazel Green EMS responded to Crawford LN, Benton Township for a medical emergency. 

● 3:21 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH P, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 5:02 p.m. A deputy responded to STH 81, Seymour Township for a disabled vehicle. 

● 5:24 p.m. A deputy responded W Water ST, City of Shullsburg for an animal bite. 

● 5:39 p.m. A deputy responded to S Division ST, Village of South Wayne for custodial interference. 

● 6:41 p.m. A deputy responded to Bridge ST, Village of Gratiot for a theft. 

● 7:11 p.m. A deputy responded to CTH G, Belmont Township for a vehicle in the ditch.

● 7:29 p.m. A deputy responded to Summit RD, Shullsburg Township for a vehicle in the ditch. 

● 10:27 p.m. A deputy responded to Miner Way, City of Shullsburg for a vehicle lockout.


Monticello Police

On Dec. 10:

● At approximately 6:24 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of State Hwy 69 for a reported alarm.  Contact was made with employees.  Everything was found to be okay.  

On Dec. 12:

● At approximately 9:56 a.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of Staedtler Avenue for a reported parking complaint.  A parking citation for violation of the 24-hour parking ordinance was issued. 

At approximately 1:58 p.m., Officers responded to the 100 block of State Hwy 69 for property that was found.  Officers took custody of the property and attempted to contact the property’s owner. 

● At approximately 1:59 p.m., Officers took custody of some found property in the 100 block of State Hwy 69.  The property’s owner was contacted and the property was returned. 

● At approximately 2:00 p.m., Officers took custody of some found property in the 100 block of State Hwy 69.  Contact was attempted with the property’s owner.  

● At approximately 3:20 p.m., Officers responded 100 block of S. Main Street for a medical emergency call.  Green County EMS and Monticello First Response also responded. 

● At approximately 3:25 p.m., Officers responded within the village for a medical emergency call. Green County EMS and Monticello First Response also responded. 


Brodhead Police

On Jan. 7:

● 11:47 p.m., while on patrol, officers observed Suspicious Activity in the 100 block of E 9th Ave; vehicle with headlights on in lot after hours. Contact with driver was made and it was found to be the business owner. No additional Suspicious Activity was observed.

On Jan. 8:

● 2:10 a.m., a 21 year old Monroe man was cited in the 1900 block of 1st Center Ave. for Operate without a Valid License and Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance Required. 

● 1:12 p.m., Police responded to the 600 block of 10th St. for the report of Damage to Property; a vehicle was “keyed”. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 3:27p.m., Police responded to the 500 block of 15th St. for the report of Damage to Property; a vehicle was “keyed”. This matter remains under investigation. 

● 4:00 p.m., Police responded to the 400 block of 15th St. for the report of Damage to Property; a vehicle was “keyed”. This matter remains under investigation. 

On Jan. 9:

● 5:30 p.m., a 45 year old Belleville man was cited in the 800 block of 1st Center Ave. for Operating after Suspension. 

On Jan. 10:

● 10:36 a.m., Police responded to the 800 block of E 3rd Ave. for the report of a Code Violation; dog feces on the sidewalk. Police checked the area but did not locate any violation.
