Edna Senn age 95, of Monroe, died Wednesday, September 12, 2012 at Harbor House/Azura Assisted Living in Monroe. Edna was born April 7, 1917 in Jordan Township, Green County, the daughter of Fred and Emma (Gordee) Wallbaum. She married Jake Senn on April 9, 1938 at St. John's United Church of Christ, Monroe. They farmed in Jordan Township until moving to Monroe in 1974. Years later they sold their home and moved to St. Clare Friedensheim.
Edna was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, St. John's Rebekah Circle, Antique Wheelers Car Club, Jordan Busy Bees Homemakers Club, and was a dedicated 4-H Leader. Edna appreciated her neighbors and friends and loved quilting and crocheting for her children and grandchildren. She looked forward to Cheese Days, liked to dance to good Swiss music, playing cards, and enjoyed boat rides, especially on Lake Superior, Apostle Islands, and Lake Namakagon.
She is survived by her three children, Jerry (Barb) Senn of Monroe, Jan (John) Wischhoff of Waunakee, and Joann (Dan) Relph of Verona; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by special friends, Dave, Traci, Logan and Hunter Weckerly. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on November 5, 2004; and a sister, Dorothy Kubly.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, Monroe. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorials will be donated to Alzheimer's Association of South Central Wisconsin and Monroe Clinic Hospice.
