BELLEVILLE - Donald A. "Don/Donnie" Schneider Jr., age 63, of Belleville died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at one of his treasured spots the Belleville Fire Station of an apparent heart attack. He was born on March 20, 1947 to his parents Donald & Kathryn (Baumgartner) Schneider. Don graduated from Belleville High School in 1965, and then graduated from MATC in 1967 with a degree in accounting. During and following high school he worked for Roosli Feed and Seed, Central Soya, and then Federal Manufacturing which became Federal Industries in Belleville where he worked in cost accounting and purchasing. Don was a member of the First United Church of Christ in Belleville, former member of the Belleville Village Board, NFPA, Charter member and crew chief for many years of the Belleville EMS, and thirty eight year member of the Belleville Fire Department serving over 20 years as fire inspector. Don enjoyed his many treasured spots like J&M Bar and Bleoni's restaurant for coffee, Federal Industries, and the EMS and Fire stations.

Don is survived by his brother James of Belleville, aunts and uncles; Delbert (Betty) Schneider of Florida, Howard Schneider of Pennsylvania, John (Christine) Baumgartner of Oregon, Esther (Kenneth) Kelsch of Janesville, Roma Akright of Oregon, many cousins, and great friends that were as family.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald in 1975, mother Kathryn in 2000, and other aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 3rd, 2010 at the First United Church of Christ, 130 E. Church St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Heide Walker-Hackman officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2010 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.
