Denise Helene Wilson, age 58 of Galena, IL went to heaven on Tuesday, June 4, 2013. Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2013 at the Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena. She was born October 15, 1954 in Savanna, IL the daughter of Helen Kilgore and the late Herb Wilson Jr. In 1972 she married Dennis Albrecht and shares with him three children, Ryan (Julie) Albrecht of Polo, IL, Tara (Blake) Roddick of Galena, IL and Breanne (Matt) Ivens of Madison, WI. In 1989 she married Dan Green and lovingly raised Chris (Prem) Green of Bolingbrook, IL and Stephen (Teresa) Green of Dubuque, IA. Denise worked for the United States Post Office for 37 years and was a dedicated worker and was loved by everyone she met. More than anything she loved her grandchildren and was always showing them off, either in person or through pictures. She will be missed dearly by all of them: Brecken, Andrew and Logan Albrecht-Ian and Kennedy Roddick-Henry Ivens-Ethan and Trenton Sanchez and Gabe Green-Rian Green. Survivors include her mother, Helen Kilgore of Elizabeth, IL her brother Herb (Cindy) Wilson of Monroe, WI and her sister Julie (Bob) Nesbitt of Mulkiteo, WA and all her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews (Brittany, Brandon, Kelsey, Alex and Maggie). She also leaves behind many in-laws and dear friends. She was welcomed into heaven by her father Herb Wilson, step-father Gordon Kilgore, grandparents Ruby Schaible and Marion Schaible and grandparents Herb & Helen Wilson Sr. A memorial fund has been established in Denise's name.
