NEW GLARUS - Catelyn Anna Owen passed away on September 11, 2011 at UW Children's Hospital in Madison. She was born on December 30, 2009 at Meriter Hospital the daughter of Nicholas and Tracy Owen. Catelyn was a delightful little girl who loved reading and sharing books, her kitty, and playing the piano. She touched everyone she met.
Catelyn is survived by her parents Nic and Tracy of New Glarus, WI, grandparents Dave and Betty Owen of New Glarus, WI and Mike and Fern Schick of Springfield, MO; great-grandparents Walter and Ruth Zimmerman of New Glarus, WI and Charlotte Flexhaug of Williston, ND; uncle and aunts Jeremy and Amy Owen of Mazomanie, WI and Michelle Schick of Bloomington, MN; and many cousins, relatives, and friends. She is further survived by special friends Sara Kiesz and her children Chandler and Nora Tarala.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents Vince and Arlene Owen, Beverly (Betty) Schick, and Byron Flexhaug, and a great-great-grandmother Anna Anderson.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at Swiss United Church of Christ, 18 5th Avenue, New Glarus, WI with the Rev. Craig Jan-McMahon and Rev. Todd Hackman officiating with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Swiss United Church of Christ, 18 5th Avenue, New Glarus.
Memorials are suggested to the UW Children's Hospital.
