ALBANY - Angelo P. Coclanis, age 84, of Albany, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2010, at WM Middleton Veteran's Hospital in Madison. He was born on March 11, 1926 in Evanston, IL, the son of Peter and Jeanette (Stavropoulos) Coclanis. He married Kay Paris on October 26, 1947 in Chicago. She passed away on April 16, 2007. Angelo was a milk truck driver for many years, had two bars in Chicago for 15 years, and worked for Wal-Mart of Monroe for 10 years. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He loved people, especially his family, horses, and anything with horsepower.

He is survived by two daughters, Jeanette (Ronald) Vogel, Chicago, IL, Mary (Paul) Masse, Greenville, SC, a son, Peter (Deborah) Coclanis, Chapel Hill, NC, six grandchildren, Christopher Masse, Nicole (Steve) O'Brien, Nicholas and Angela Vogel, Angelo and Alex Coclanis, one great-grandson, Myles Chase O'Brien. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, James, and a sister, Christine Giannikas.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at the D.L.NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, BRODHEAD, WI. Burial will be in English Settlement Cemetery, rural Albany. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wm. Middleton Veteran's Hospital, Madison, WI.
