On January 14:

● At approximately 9:07 a.m., Deputies responded to the intersection of State Highway 11 and State Highway 69, Town of Monroe, for a report of a two-vehicle accident.Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Robert Rucker, 48, of Janesville advised he was preparing to turn onto State Highway 11 from State Highway 69 when another vehicle proceeded to turn at the same time causing a collision. Rucker denied injury, reported wearing his seatbelt, and his vehicle’s airbags deployed. The other vehicle was operated by Santiago Xiamina, 17, of Monroe. Xiamina advised he was preparing to turn onto State Highway 69 from State Highway 11 when he did not observe Rucker’s vehicle leading to the collision. Xiamina and his passenger, Carlos Aguilar Diaz, 25, of Monroe reported no injuries, reported wearing their seatbelts, and no airbags deployed. Both vehicles sustained disabling damages and were towed from the scene. Xiamina was cited for Operate without a valid driver license, operate without motor vehicle insurance, and improper turn. Monroe PD assisted on scene. 

● At approximately 3:39 p.m., Deputies along with Brooklyn EMS, and Brooklyn FD responded to the W9200 block of State Highway 104, Town of Brooklyn, for a report of a single vehicle accident. Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Heather Hurley, 42, of Monroe, was southbound on State Highway 104, when she became distracted and struck a guardrail. Hurley reported injury, reported wearing her seatbelt, and no airbag deployment.Hurley’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Rock County Sheriff’s Office and Evansville PD assisted on scene. 

● At approximately 9:46 p.m., Deputies responded to the N8900 block of State Highway 104, for a report of a vehicle in a field.Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Jeremy Moore, 42, of Brooklyn, was southbound on State Highway 104, when his vehicle experienced mechanical trouble. Moore reported driving the vehicle into the field. Moore reported no injuries and there was airbag deployment. Moore was cited for failure to report accident to law enforcement, failure to provide insurance, and non-registration of an auto.
