Open auditions opportunity at MAC
‘The Snow Queen’ comes to Monroe Jan. 18

MONROE — An open audition will be held for the Missoula Children’s Theatre production of “The Snow Queen” from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13 at Monroe Arts Center, 1315 11th Street, Monroe. Those auditioning should arrive between 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. to register and then plan to stay for the full two-hour group audition process. Some of those chosen for a role in the production will be asked to stay for a rehearsal immediately following the audition.

Any student in kindergarten through twelfth grade are encouraged to audition. No advance preparation is necessary and there is no cost to participate. Assistant directors are also cast to aid in rehearsals throughout the week, and to take on essential backstage responsibilities.

The Missoula Children’s Theatre touring productions are complete with costumes, scenery, props and makeup. MCT Tour Actor/Directors will conduct rehearsals throughout the week from 4 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. each day. Performances of “The Snow Queen will be presented at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18 at Monroe Arts Center.
