SHULLSBURG — CESA 3 and the school districts in Lafayette County are hosting a Lafayette County Advisory Council meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at Truck Country in Shullsburg. The goal of the Lafayette County Advisory Council meetings is to connect community members, education, and industry to grow and advance the region. The Shullsburg FFA will be sponsoring the meal and Trent Ubersox, Truck Country Fixed Operations Manager, will lead a tour of the Truck Country facility. An open discussion and goal setting session will follow the tour.
“The goal of the Lafayette County Advisory Council Meeting is to create connection and collaboration between school districts, their communities, and business and industry,” said Tom Martin, CESA 3 Career and Life Ready Coordinator. “This meeting will build upon the work conducted during the first two meetings last November and February. One of the outcomes of those meetings included each school district offering a mock interview day. Additional items that we will be discussing include creating a county job shadow day and a county career fair. Attendees are encouraged to share their thoughts and ideas on ways the school districts can collaborate with their region to ensure all of our students in Lafayette County are career and life ready.”
Community members, business and industry representatives, educators, economic development representatives, and government representatives are encouraged to attend. Registration is available at https://cesa3.eventsmart.com/lafayette. Questions can be directed to Martin at tmartin@cesa3.org or 608-822-2154.
