WAUSAU - WSAW-TV NewsChannel 7 Vice President and General Manager Al Lancaster has been elected to chair the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Broadcasters Association. Lancaster, who served this past year on the WBA board as television vice-chair and chair-elect, will serve a one year Chair of the Board. Lancaster has spent 27 years in broadcasting, including this being his 10th year at WSAW.
Lancaster is a Wisconsin native, originally from Argyle. He is the son of Louie and Carol Lancaster, Argyle. He is a graduate of University of Wisconsin-Platteville, where he got his start in broadcasting by reading sports news at the university's radio station, WSUP. Lancaster has worked at some of the areas communications companies, including Midwest Family Radio, Busse Broadcasting and currently and Gray Television.
