Mavis has been putting up with Quentin’s antics for 50 years now, and they’re still going strong. Their journey started November 14th, 1970 at the East Wiota Church. They didn’t realize what they had in store for them at the time, but it hasn’t been such a “Long Hard Ride.”
They were blessed with four children: Tracy, Tonya (Cory) Milz, Torrey, (Sami), and Todd (Ann) and then life got even more exciting with seven grandchildren: Hannah 22, Brody 20, Cayden 18, Lucas 16, Mya 12, Sterling 2, and Eleanor 2 months. There is never a dull moment in the lives of Quentin and Mavis with this family and their strong involvement in their community having countless friends to share a story and a laugh.
Under the crazy circumstances of 2020, the family chose to celebrate with a card shower. Anyone who would like to share a kind sentiment or fun memory may send it to 9161 Valley Lane, South Wayne and/or hold up a glass in their own home to give a toast to 50 years, and a thank you to Quentin and Mavis for the lives they have created, friendships cherish, and priceless time and commitment given to the community.
The family sends love their Mom and Dad, Grandpa and Grandma, Quentin and Mavis. “To the Roods! And may you continue to live happily ever after.”
