Kathryn F. Lampe, age 81, of rural Orangeville passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at her home. She was born the daughter of Reed and Kathryn (Fehr) Stevens on February 27, 1945 in Syracuse, New York. She graduated high school in Syracuse. Kathy was united in marriage to Wayne T. Lampe on July 31, 1965. They later moved to Illinois where they built a life and raised their family together.

Kathy worked in the bakery at Swiss Colony for over 20 years before her retirement. She was a very intelligent woman and enjoyed crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and winning numerous rounds of trivia. Watching The Hallmark Channel was also a favorite past time for her.

Kathy is survived by her children, Dan (Deb) Lampe, Michael Lampe, and Jen Michael; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her beloved cat, Buddy and dog, Jake; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; siblings, Reed Stevens and Gretchen Stevens, a brother-in-law; two nephews; several cats and her dog, Alex.

A Memorial Visitation to celebrate Kathy’s life will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home.
