MONROE — The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Green County is offering Healthy Living with Diabetes, a six-week virtual workshop designed to help individuals better manage diabetes and improve their overall health and well-being.

Developed through research at Stanford University, this evidence-based program provides practical tools for managing the day-to-day challenges of diabetes. Participants will learn about healthy eating, physical activity, blood sugar monitoring, stress management, preventing complications, communicating effectively with healthcare providers, and much more.

The workshop is open to adults living with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, or prediabetes, as well as family members, caregivers, and others who support someone with diabetes. Participants will also have the opportunity to connect with others facing similar challenges while building confidence and skills for healthier living.

Classes will be held virtually via Zoom on Tuesdays from Sept. 22 through Oct. 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. An optional Zoom practice session will be offered on Sept. 15.

Pre-registration required; spots are limited. No residency requirements. Suggested donation: $15.
