ARGYLE — The community will be hosting the 82nd Argyle fish supper. This is a community event supported by the volunteers of the community with 200 volunteers to work the fryers, wait persons, and to help set-up and take down. The profits from the event are distributed back to community projects.

The fish fry will be held from 3:30 to 8 p.m. on June 25 in front of the firehouse. The menu will consist of deep-fried fish, French fries, coleslaw, and trimmings, and cheese from the cheese factories of the areas of Lafayette and Green counties.

The event also includes the 30th Argyle Duck Races on the Pecatonica River. The race begins at 2 p.m. at Steve’s Garage and the finish line at Robert Wenger boat landing. Prizes will be awarded, with tickets available at local businesses and some community members. Organizers reserve the right to postpone or reschedule the duck race because of inclement weather.

There will be live music provided by “The Fever River String Band”. The event will be held rain or shine.
