The primaries are coming up fast! August 11th! We are lucky to have three amazing candidates for your District 17 Senate! It is so important to get to know the candidates! Here is your opportunity. Indivisible Southwest Wisconsin is hosting an event next Sunday July 19 at Soldiers Park, Mineral Point. All three Senate candidates will be there to provide information on their background and reason for running. And best of all, they will mingle and speak directly with you. I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity. The event is scheduled from 11:30 a.m.-3:00 p.m. We will have music, cool treats and drinks, games for kids and adults. The candidates will speak during the following times: noon-1 Jenna Jacobson; 1-2:00 p.m. Corrine Hendrickson; and 2-3:00 p.m. Lisa White. Voting is your opportunity to select the individuals that represent your interests. Think about school funding, childcare, taxes, services, housing, affordable healthcare, land use, job opportunities, farming and small business needs, and who you want to represent your community!
