To the Editor:
We would like to say ‘thank you’ to everyone who made the 2024 Art Walk a huge success.
We had 20 downtown shops that agreed to host an artist for the day. Thank you to them for providing a spot for an artist to show their work and to the shops who generously donated a gift for the ‘Peoples Choice Award’.
Twenty artists from Green County and further away brought all types of art downtown, providing a beautiful day ‘out’ in the lovely setting of our historic square. Thanks so much to all artists.
Thank you to all folks who took time out of their day to visit our beautiful downtown, maybe enjoying lunch and appreciating so much art.
Fifteen willing volunteers handed out maps and information all day. Thank you!
A big thanks to Tracy at Heartland Graphics for designing the posters, maps, etc.
Thank you to the committee that coordinated the event, making it the most successful Art Walk yet. Tina Duemler and Lauren Burkey were the very capable and efficient planning team, they made it look easy. Another part of the team from Main Street Monroe is Jordan Nordby. Jordan had many jobs planning the event and Main Street sponsored the event. Thank you to both.
We also need to thank the Monroe Arts Center, who sponsored the pre-event social for the shop owners and artists. Thank you also to all who donated food for the evening and to Lauren Burkey for coordinating the social.
Last but not least, thanks to the Big Guy upstairs for providing us with the most stunningly awesome fall day ever, making this Art Walk one to remember.
