To the Editor:

For more than 42 years I’ve practiced law in Green County. During that time, I had the honor serving as Green County District Attorney, the County’s chief prosecutor. I have tried a lot of cases, argued cases in front of many judges, and spent a great deal of time in courtrooms. Jane Bucher has my full support to be the next Green County Judge. It is critical that our next Judge be able to effectively confront the issues our Green County Courts face. There is an enormous backlog of cases due to the suspension of jury trials because of the pandemic. The opioid epidemic continues to challenge our criminal justice system to find better ways to handle those with substance abuse issues. Jane is the only candidate in this race who has the experience in local courtrooms and in Wisconsin criminal law to help lead our courts in these difficult times. Jane has a proven track record in working in a be-partisan way to improve our courts. Green County voters have an important choice to make on April 6 and it is a clear one. Jane Bucher is the most qualified and best prepared for the tough, and important, job of being our next Circuit Court Judge. I urge everyone to vote for Jane on April 6th.
