This is pertaining to William Gardner of Southern Rail and how he had given illegal contributions for the governor's race. He basically got a "slap on his hands" for his participation. He got fined $167,000. $45,000 was returned and given to charity by Gov. Walker.
These monies could have changed the outcome of the Walker and Barrett election. This was a tight race, which Barrett could have won "legally." Now, with Gardner's illegal actions, we (the state taxpayers) have to put up with Gov. Walker for four years. This makes us more determined to recall Gov. Walker in January.
Now, Gov. Walker wants $150 million to fix that very same railroad and add more train cars. This would be a payback for Southern Rail's illegal contributions.
During Gov. Walker's campaign, he "screams" Wisconsin can't afford to have the $810 million rail. He could have used part of that money for Southern Rail.
Oh no! Instead, chase the whole operation out of the state. Now, Gov. Walker needs to get jobs in Wisconsin and is pleading for some money.
