MONROE - Missed serves plagued the Monroe volleyball team as Beloit Turner swept the Cheesemakers in a non-conference match Tuesday 25-23, 25-21, 25-16.

"Passing was once again a strong point for Monroe," Monroe coach Heidi Witt said. "The girls need to play with a little more passion for the game no matter what the scoreboard reads. A little fire, more communication and getting serves over the net will make all the difference in this team and how it operates on the court. There is a lot of mental toughness involved in this game and we need to find a way to better prepare ourselves that way so we hit the ground running come game time."

With the loss, Monroe drops to 1-7, 0-1 Badger South.

Monroe senior Kari Jordan had a team-high six kills and sophomore Alicia Kuester had five kills. Monroe senior Lauren Curtis had eight digs and Jordan added seven digs.

Paige Murphy had a team-high 12 assists and both Jordan and Curtis had three aces. Sophomore Chloe Schroeder had two blocks and Jordan added one block.
