Roelli's home run powers Darlington

DARLINGTON - Senior Reagan Roelli blasted a home run to help lead the Darlington softball team to a 9-2 win over Pecatonica on Tuesday.

Darlington senior Tayah Paulson pitched a complete game to get the win. In seven innings, Paulson struck out nine and walked two.

Pecatonica sophomore Ninah McKeon went 3-for-4 and had a triple to lead the Vikings.

McKeon went the distance and gave up nine runs on four hits. However, the Vikings were plagued by five errors. McKeon struck out 10 and walked seven.



East Troy 9, Brodhead 3

EAST TROY - Brodhead couldn't hang on to a one-run lead, and East Troy rallied to knock off the Cardinals.

After scoring one run in the top of the fourth inning, Brodhead led 2-1. East Troy broke the game open with a five-run bottom of the fourth to cruise to the win.

Brodhead junior Caitlin Novy had two of the Cardinals' five hits. Brodhead junior Azzy Steiner pitched six innings and gave up nine runs on 12 hits and struck out six.
