DARLINGTON - Junior Stryker Fitzsimons scored a team-high 16 points to lead the Darlington boys basketball team to a 67-61 win over Black Hawk Saturday.
Darlington (12-7, 7-4 SWAL) raced out to an 11-point lead at the half, 38-27. Darlington's Matt Douglas pitched in 11 points.
Black Hawk senior C.J. Leuzinger scored a game-high 18 points, and junior Conner Meyer added 14.
"It was a good game late in the year against a good team with skilled players," Darlington coach Tom Uppena said. "It was good competition and good to have a close game that can make both of us better. It was a good one to get experience before the tournament run."

MONTICELLO - Senior Ryan McCoy's hot shooting helped the Ponies pull out a win over Argyle.
McCoy drilled four 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 12 points. Monticello (7-11, 4-5 Six Rivers East) led by as many as 17 points and had a 16-point lead with about 3 minutes to go.
Argyle sophomore Gavin Johnson hit two 3-pointers, and Connor Carrius buried a 3 to help the Orioles mount a comeback.
"They (Argyle) just got hot from the 3-point line," Monticello coach Mark Olson said. "It was really important that we came out strong to start the second half. It's that time of year where conference wins matter, and it's a conference rivalry."
Monticello sophomore Reece Rufer scored a team-high 16 points.
Argyle senior Brent Ritschard scored a game-high 17 points.
In other action Saturday, Mineral Point rolled to a 79-46 win over Pecatonica.
Pecatonica senior Evan Prust scored a team-high 15 points. Junior teammate Jaden Hendrickson added 12.
Pecatonica junior point guard Colton Schraepfer didn't play.
