BOSCOBEL - Jeff Reichling and Carson Crist were busy men in Boscobel Friday night.
The Redbirds running backs accounted for five of Darlington's seven touchdowns in a 48-6 thumping of the Bulldogs.
Reichling ran for a 2-yard run to open scoring in the first quarter. He added two more touchdown runs, of 12 and 2 yards in the second quarter.
Reichling finished with 94 yards on 14 carries, for a 6.7 yards per carry average.
Crist was just as damaging. In the second quarter, the senior returned Boscobel's kickoff 85 yards for the score. In the third quarter, Crist added a 4-yard touchdown run.
Darlington's other two touchdowns came on a 29-yard run by Trynton Schwartz and a 24-yard run by Aaron Stauffacher.
The Redbirds finished with 378 yards of offense, while the Bulldogs logged 198. Darlington dominated the ground game, racking up 291 yards to Boscobel's 140.
Darlington plays at Fennimore on Friday.
POYNETTE 35, BELLEVILLE-ALBANY 20
The Wildcats outscored visiting Poynette for one half of Friday's game, but it wasn't enough in a 35-20 loss.
The Indians scored the first two touchdowns of the game, and with a field goal, went ahead 22-0 before Belleville-Albany could get on the board.
Tyler Argall returned a fumble 21 yards for a touchdown.
The Wildcats' next touchdown came in the third quarter on a 1-yard run by Ryan Hendrickson. The senior added another 1-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter to finish the scoring.
BENTON-SCALES MOUND 34, BLACK HAWK 0
Black Hawk ran into a tough Benton-Scales Mound squad Friday night.
The previously undefeated Warriors couldn't contain the Zephyrs in a 34-0 loss.
The Zephyrs' offense scored three of the touchdowns, and Black Hawk helped on two others. Benton-Scales Mound returned a fumble 33 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter and an interception 32 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Black Hawk won the rushing game, totaling 188 to the Zephyrs' 142. Cody Foster carried 18 times for 114 yards for the Warriors.
Black Hawk hosts Belmont next Saturday at 2 p.m.
