Pec picks up first conference win; Brodhead loses to ET

SOUTH WAYNE - The Pecatonica boys basketball team picked up its first conference win knocking off Black Hawk 42-37 Friday night.

Pecatonica (2-9, 1-4 Six Rivers East) led 12-10 after the first quarter and trailed by one-point at halftime. The Vikings outscored the Warriors 20-14 in the second half.

Pecatonica senior Tannar Johnson scored a game-high 12 points to lead the Vikings and Tanner Kleppe added 11.

Black Hawk (3-7, 1-4) was led by sophomore Merik Meythaler and junior Hayden Schliem who each scored eight points.

East Troy 68, Brodhead 59

BRODHEAD - Brodhead senior J.J. Panoske scored a game-high 29 points, but the Cardinals couldn't beat East Troy.

Panoske, a University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee recruit, hit five 3-pointers. East Troy led Brodhead 24-22 at halftime and outscored the Cardinals 30-19 in the second half.

Brodhead senior Nick Jacobson scored 11 points and senior Carson Scheidegger added nine. With the loss, Brodhead drops to 5-6 over and 3-4 in the Rock Valley South.

In other action, Juda rolled to a 56-36 win over Argyle and Cambridge beat New Glarus 70-62.
