New Glarus stuns Belleville in walk-off

NEW GLARUS - New Glarus senior Jared Carney went 3-for-4 with one RBI and the Glarner Knights scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to stun Belleville 4-3 Thursday.

Carney pitched six innings. He gave up just one earned run on four hits. He struck out 11 and walked five. Senior Noah Zimmerman pitched one inning and gave up one run on one hit and struck out one.



Clinton 5, Brodhead-Juda 4

CLINTON - Jason Brewer went 4-for-4 with one RBI to lead Clinton to a 5-4 win over Brodhead-Juda Thursday.

It's the second time this season the Cougars have knocked off the Cardinals. The two teams were locked in a tie game at 4 going into the seventh inning. The Cougars scored one run in the seventh for the walk-off win.

Brodhead-Juda's Chase Harnack went 2-for-4 with one RBI. Marco Bueno had two stolen bases for the Cardinals.

Brodhead-Juda senior Luke Skoumal pitched 3 2/3 innings and gave up three earned runs on four hits, while striking out four and walking one. Bueno pitched 2 1/3 innings and gave up two earned runs on five hits. He struck out two.
