BELLEVILLE - Mount Horeb's Sydney King scored a goal in the 49th minute to propel the third-seeded Vikings to a 1-0 win over Sugar River in a WIAA Division 3 sectional semifinal game on Thursday.
Mount Horeb will play at top-seeded Madison Edgewood in a sectional final game on Saturday.
Sugar River, the Capitol Conference champions, finished the season 21-2. The Raiders were looking to advance to state for the second straight year. Last year, Sugar River finished as the Division 3 state runner-up.
The Raiders have gone 45-5 the past two years. Catholic memorial defeated Sugar River 5-0 in the state championship game last season.
