Mount Horeb blanks Sugar River

BELLEVILLE - The Sugar River boys soccer team, with aspirations of winning the Capitol South Conference championship, were shut down, dropping a non-conference game to Mount Horeb 2-0 on Saturday.

Mount Horeb (9-3) got a goal from Derrick Bohl at 17 minutes, 10 seconds to take a 1-0 lead.

The Vikings added to their lead when Connor DeHaven scored a goal on a penalty kick at 37:15.

Sugar River's Hayden Smith had 12 saves. Sugar River (6-6, 4-0-2 Capitol South) has a critical conference game at Wisconsin Heights on Tuesday.
