BELOIT - The Monroe boys hockey co-op team's season came to an end with an 8-2 loss to Beloit Memorial in a WIAA regional semifinal Tuesday.

Beloit Memorial's Tyler Jensen scored two goals en route to the victory. Beloit Memorial outshot the Avalanche 58-14.

After falling behind 3-0, Monroe senior Tyler Johnson scored a goal on an assist from Travis Edmunds early in the second period. Senior Jake Ritschards scored a goal late in the second period on a pass from Deion Hargrove to cut Beloit's lead to 3-2.

Monroe freshman goalie Heath Bear had 38 saves.

The Avalanche finish the season 3-19-1.
