GALENA, Ill. - Zach McArthur fired a 43 and Alex Schulte carded a 46 Thursday to lead the Darlington boys golf team to a third-place finish in a Southwest Wisconsin Activities League meet at Galena Golf Club.
A.J. Brandt (51) and Chase Tueschel (64) rounded out the scoring for the Redbirds, who had a 204 team total. Cuba City won with a 168 while Southwestern was next at 195.
Pecatonica-Argyle finished sixth in the eight-team event with a 226. Christopher Severson carded a 46 to lead the Vikings while Grant Barnes (58), Jacob Melvin (60) and Zach Shilling (62) completed the scoring.
Cuba City's Alex Stewart was medalist with a 37.
