MONROE — The Monroe girls basketball team is selling T-shirts for their water girl Kaelie Wunschel and Theodore Huffman.

Wunschel is in remission, while Huffman, son of seventh grade basketball coach Dustin Huffman, suffers from hypoplastic left heart syndrome.

“We want to raise as much money as we can to celebrate Kaelie and support Theodore,” Monroe head coach Patrick Kenny said. “It’s just a small token for the amount of time and dedication they’ve given to the program.”

To order a T-shirt, visit the Monroe Cheesemaker Girls Basketball Facebook page and click on the fundraiser link. You can also visit monroegbbfundraiser-23.itemorder.com.

T-shirts come in adult unisex or youth sizes with two different designs, either in purple with the words ‘Fight like a kid’ or in red with the words ‘HLHS Awareness Theodore the Warrior.’

The T-shirts are ordered through Badger Sporting Goods and are due at 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 24. They will be delivered to the girls basketball team approximately three weeks after the online shop closes. For questions, call Badger Sporting Goods at 608-274-1353.
