MONROE — The Cheesemakers scored a rare Badger Conference dual victory May 21, knocking off Watertown 187-205 at Monroe Golf Club.

Bert Leach carded a 41 for Monroe to score the lowest mark of the day on the Front 9. He finished even on the day on all three Par 3s, and made a long 30-foot putt to save par on the ninth green.

Logan Spear shot a 46 for Monroe, a round with all bogies and double bogies except for the bird on the Par 3 eighth hole. Carson Leuzinger holed a birdie on the dog-leg ninth, his first career birdie. After teeing off to the top of the hill, his approach to the pin put him within 10 feet of the hole. He finished with a 50, the same score as Seth Brandt. Cole Meier finished with a 59 for Monroe.

Myles Nourse of Watertown shot a 42, the only Gosling competitor to shoot under a 52 on the Par 34 Front 9 course.

In other area golf action, Brodhead finished fifth at 10-team Rock Valley Conference meet at Riverside Golf Course May 20.  Grant Purdue shot an 88, tying for ninth place.
