Darlington second at Ringen, Trappers Turn

DARLINGTON — The Redbirds took second at the 2022 Ringen Invite on Aug. 19 with a score of 391. Lancaster (365) was first, with Mount Horeb (397) third, Southwestern/Cuba City (425) fourth, Beloit Turner (444) fifth, Clinton (487) sixth and Prairie du Chien (526) seventh.

Lancaster’s Brianna Kirsch (76) was the medalist, with Mount Horeb’s Ella Fager (91) second and Darlington’s Josie Meister (92) third. Alexis Bridges shot a 95 for Darlington, while teammate Sophie Wiegel carded a 98 and Laura Weaver a 106.

The day before, the Redbirds finished second at the Dells Mini-Meet at Trappers Turn. Darlington had a 224 at the 9-hole event, while Wisconsin Dells took top honors at 194. Lancaster finished at 231, with Southwestern/Cuba City tallying a 235 and Prairie du Chien a 298.

Meister had a 47, two shots off the pace of Dells’ Libby Walker and Madchen Ewig. Bridges had a 56, Weaver a 60 and Chance Lange a 61 for Darlington.
