On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, after a three-year battle with cancer, Deana Marie (Lincicum) Bower, age 48, of Browntown, entered into eternal rest. She was born the eldest daughter of Scott and Cindy (Noble) Lincicum on September 22, 1977 in Monroe. She was a 1996 graduate of Juda High School.
In 1997, Deana met the love of her life, Steven C. Bower, together with his oldest son the story of their family began. They were united in marriage on June 7, 2003 at the Juda Zion United Methodist Church; they were blessed with two sons to complete their family. Deana’s world was centered around the family she and Steve built together and their extended families. Nothing could surpass how blessed she felt being a wife, a mom and the most loving “Mimi” to her grandbabies. She fought hard to be able to meet her newest granddaughter just three days before she passed. Deana was a devoted “trucker’s wife” and took pride in caring for her home. She found great joy in a good meal and house full of those she loved. All were welcome at her home, over the years she and Steve opened their doors to many friends in their time of need.
She was also a lover of all God’s creatures and had a special place in her heart for cats; especially the two that provided her with countless hours of comfort throughout the last couple years, Ranger and Tanto.
Deana has always been known for being strong willed and resilient. She will be remembered for her fierce, loving nature, quick wit, and eccentric culinary combinations. She was strongly rooted in her faith which provided her with great peace.
Deana worked at Advance Transformer, Shopko and later was the Store Manager of Shopko Optical in Monroe. She made many wonderful, loving friendships with her coworkers, and cherished the connections she made with her patients.
Deana will be dearly missed by her husband of 23 years, Steve; sons, Sean (Allie) Bower and Joshua (Kassi Mason) Bower; bonus son, Marcus Bower; foster daughter, Morgan Ann-Marie Elmer; grandchildren, Jameson, Adalie, and Scottie Jo Bower; her mother, Cindy Lincicum; siblings, Dana (Mike) Lincicum, Debra (Jason) Pulver, Daniel “Parks” Lincicum, and Diana (Mike Key) Lincicum; nephews, Jonathon (Savannah) Parker, Jaxson Pulver; niece, EmaLee Pulver; mother-in-law, Gloria Bower; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended relatives and many dear friends.
She will be welcomed into heaven by her dad, Scott; paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Marian Lincicum; maternal grandparents, Roger and Emogine Noble; uncles, Vernon “Bud” (Katie) Lincicum and Curt Leuzinger; cousins, Sharon (Nip) Sutter and Shirley Montanye; and father-in-law, David Bower.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Deana’s life will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating. Deana will be laid to rest immediately following the service in Saucerman Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 5-8PM on Monday, August 17, 2026 at the funeral home. Continued visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service.
