Darlington demolishes competition

LANCASTER — The Redbirds extended its win streak to six games with a pair of victories at the Lancaster tournament on Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Darlington rolled to a 93-65 win over Potosi with five different players finishing in double figures. Will Murray led them all with 20 points, followed by Broker Buschor with 16. Long was just one point shy of Buschor with 15, while Carver Fitzsimons recorded 13. The final double-digit scorer was Reagan Jackson with 10 points. Another five players contributed to the offense.

Royall challenged the Redbirds, as the two teams were tied at 25 at halftime. Darlington then pulled away in the second half, scoring 36 points compared to Royall’s 24.

Murray and Buschor led with 13 points each, followed by Jackson and Fitzsimons with 12. Long tallied six points with Taggart Gille adding three. The final scorer was Carter Murray with two points.
