Nearly four minutes later, Bockhop took it himself, 46 yards down the field, for another touchdown and subsequent extra point.
Up 14-0 to start the second quarter, the Cardinals kept their foot on the gas. Bryce McIntosh ran 30 yards for a touchdown within the first 30 seconds. At quarterback, Bockhop was 3-for-8 for 46 yards and one touchdown. On the ground, he ran for 76 yards and two touchdowns. Matthys, McIntosch and Huffman had a rushing touchdown each. Boegli caught three passes, one for a touchdown.
NEW GLARUS-MONTICELLO 22, CAMBRIDGE 12
CAMBRIDGE — After just one regular-season win and a Week 10 victory last season, New Glarus-Monticello (NGM) opened its 2023 campaign with a 22-12 road win over Cambridge on Friday, Aug. 18.

Figi brought in two interceptions on defense, while Riley Mosley recovered a fumble.
Although happy with the win, head coach Desmond Breadon knows his team has a tough schedule ahead.
“I was happy with the win, but told the players that there’s a lot we need to improve if we want to accomplish our goals this season,” he said. “We had a lot of guys step up and a lot of options for things we can do on both sides of the ball even though we don’t have big numbers.”
