SOUTH WAYNE — Black Hawk held a track and field meet April 14 despite cold and blustery conditions. The host Warriors won the boys team title over Albany and Monroe’s JV, while Monroe’s V/JV mix finished ahead of the Black Hawk and Albany varsity squads on the girls side.
“It was crazy but will be memorable for a lot of kids,” said Black Hawk coach Eric Erickson. “Highlights for me personally were the sprint crew for the boys and the throwers for the girls. Each of these groups is proving to be pretty competitive in the area. Each group had great meets on Monday at Monroe and then came back and repeated that tonight. The weather was not pleasant but the times were pretty good considering.”
