JANESVILLE — Individual runners Adalee Berget and Carter Scholey paced their respective teams with top-10 finishes in the Midwest Invitational at Blackhawk Golf Course on Saturday, Sept. 23.
Berget, the Redbirds’ top runner, paced Darlington with her sixth-place finish. Darlington girls, ranked No. 2 in Division 3, finished 20 of 42 among Division 1 and 2 teams.
Scholey led Belleville with this third-place finish. He beat out Ishan Patel of Woodstock by just 0.08 seconds. Monroe, ranked No. 15 in Division 2, was without top runner Tre Dammen. The Cheesemakers finished 37 of 50 teams, led by freshman Kamrin Gerber-Reame.
