MONROE - The deadline to register for the 46th annual city singles tennis tournament is approaching. It is noon July 14.
The city singles tournament is slated for July 15 and 16. The tournament is sponsored by the Monroe Parks and Recreation Department.
The tournament is open to anyone and will offer four brackets. There will be a Class A men's bracket for intermediate to advanced players over the age of 14, a Class B men's bracket for intermediate to beginner players older than 14, a women's open bracket for all women over the age of 14, and a youth bracket for boys and girls 14 and younger.
Once a bracket reaches 16 players, no more entrants will be allowed in that bracket. The entry fee is $15 for anyone older than 14, and $10 for youth 14 and younger.
