DARLINGTON - The Redbirds dominated Benton in their season-opening girls basketball game Friday, 68-32.

Darlington outscored Benton 16-4 in the first quarter. The Redbirds' lead ballooned to 20 points by halftime, 34-14.

The Redbirds had three players in double figures, with senior Mariah Gibson, junior Ashley Martin and sophomore Kelsey Fink each scoring 10.
