CLINTON - The Brodhead boys basketball team could not pull off enough of a comeback. Instead, the Cardinals fell to Clinton, 55-52 Friday.
The Cougars jumped out to a 14-9 lead after the first quarter and led 31-24 at the half. An 18-15 third quarter run got Brodhead right back into the mix before losing at the end.
The Cardinals shot just 11-for-22 from the free throw line and hit five 3-pointers. Jake Cole his four 3s and finished with 17 points.
