NEW GLARUS - Chalet Landhaus will hold an open house from 3:30 to 5 p.m. April 18 to give attendees the opportunity to meet area youth coaches and receive a free coaching "tool kit," designed to enhance youth athletic experiences involving team sports in Green County.
The tool kit includes tips on coach/parent relationships, information on how to help children with special needs, ice-breaker games and team-building activities, concussion protocols and first-aid guidelines. It will be available both on flash drive and hard copy and is intended to be shared, adapted and edited within each organization.
The tool kit was developed as a community project for Green County Leaders and made possible in part through a donation from Colony Brands. Green County Leaders is an educational program designed to help build community leadership. Participants meet one day per month for nine months. Programs focus on building community leadership skills and raising awareness of community issues, including local government, health care, economic development and education.
Chalet Landhaus is located at 801 Wisconsin 69, New Glarus. For more information about the tool kit, contact Teresa Keehn at 920-698-2460.
