ARGYLE - Coach Dan Treuthardt wasn't pleased with his team's approach during a 9-4 victory against Black Hawk in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday.
The Orioles corrected that between games, exploding for seven first-inning runs en route to a 21-2 trouncing of the Warriors in the nightcap.
"I thought we came out a little flat in the beginning. We wanted to see a little more intensity," Treuthardt said. "We talked between games and they came out with that intensity in the second game."
Sophomore Jessica Treuthardt collected the pitching victory in both games. She went five innings in the opener, allowing three hits and two runs (one earned) while striking out five. She did not issue a walk. Kylie Johnson went the last two innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit with two strikeouts and a walk.
Senior Frida Cuevas went 3-for-3 with two RBIs and freshman Amber Dammen hit a two-run double.

Junior Kim Pink went 2-for-3 with five RBIs, including a bases-loaded triple, and freshman Jenna Langmeier was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.
