Wilfred H. Klippel, age 86, of Monroe, died on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. Wil was born on August 17, 1937 in Richfield, WI, the son of Oglethorpe and Christina (Wolf) Klippel. He graduated from Hartford, WI High School in 1956 earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Education from U.W. Platteville. After beginning his teaching career at Monroe High School in 1962, Wil met his future wife, Patricia Fischer. The couple were united in marriage on August 8, 1964 at Holy Hill in Hubertus, WI. Wil taught Electricity, Electronics, Metals, and Auto Mechanics at M.H.S. for many years until retiring. He loved golf and served as the golf coach at M.H.S. for 33 years. His other passions were fishing, curling, camping, and traveling. He and Pat enjoyed taking many cruises following retirement. He was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish and Monroe Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Pat Klippel of Monroe; four sons, Brian (Christine) of Plymouth, MI, Todd (Erika) of Burr Ridge, IL, Gary (Sarah) of Wauwatosa, Scott of Monroe; six grandchildren, Emily (Peter) Ingallinera, Allison, Maya, Justin, Adam, and Nolan Klippel. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earl, Jerome “Buddy”, Joseph; and a sister, Janet.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church with Father Dave Carrano officiating. Inurnment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, Monroe, on Sunday, July 28, from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and preceding the mass on Monday beginning at 10:00 A.M.
