car crash

TOWN OF LIMA, ROCK COUNTY — A Juda driver crashed into a house on Tuesday. According to the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, at about 6:15 a.m. on Sept. 30, sheriff’s deputies responded to a vehicle vs. house crash in the 13000 block of E Wis. 59 in the Town of Lima in Rock County.

Upon investigation, it was determined a passenger car was eastbound on E Wis. 59 attempting to negotiate a curve. It was raining at the time of the crash and the roadway was wet. The driver, an 18-year-old male from Juda, was operating at a speed higher than he could safely negotiate the curve. The car left the roadway colliding with a fence then a residence. The house was occupied at the time of the crash but nobody was injured inside the house or in the vehicle.

Due to the possible structural damage to the residence, the occupants will be displaced but have accommodations. The driver of the car was issued a citation for his actions. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor with the crash.
