DARLINGTON — Darlington High School will present the musical Annie the weekend before Thanksgiving. Show dates are November 20, 21, and 22.

Annie is a story about hope, friendship, and the belief that better days can come even during difficult times.

The musical Annie tells the heartwarming story of Annie, a young orphan who lives in a harsh orphanage run by the cruel Miss Hannigan. Despite her difficult life, Annie remains cheerful and hopeful that her parents will one day return for her. Annie’s life changes when billionaire Oliver Warbucks invites her to spend Christmas at his mansion. He soon grows fond of her and decides to help find her parents. However, Miss Hannigan and her brother Rooster create a plan to take advantage of Annie’s situation.

Through courage, kindness, and the support of Warbucks, Annie discovers that family can come in unexpected forms. Popular songs like Tomorrow, Hard Knock Life and You’re Never Fully Dressed

Without a Smile are just a few that you will hear.
