Timothy E. Dillon, age 77, of Monroe, died Monday, October 9, 2023 at SSM Monroe Hospital. Tim was born on May 21, 1946 in Monroe, the son of Chester C. and Helen (Shea) Dillon. He graduated from Monroe High School in 1964 and worked for Armour Creameries for 28 years. He later was employed as a custodian at St. Victor Parish for many years until retiring. Tim served with the Wisconsin Army National Guard from 1965 until retiring in 1989 with the rank of First Sgt. with the 1158th Transportation Co. in Monroe. He was a past member of American Legion Post #84 in Monroe.
Tim is survived by a brother, Terry (Darlyn) Dillon of Brodhead; sister, Maureen Theiler of Milwaukee; sister-in-law, Susan Dillon of Monroe; and twelve nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Chester Jr. in 1973, Franklyn in 2016; sister, Elizabeth “Bette” (Richard) Hassenfelt in 2017; and brother-in-law, Eugene Theiler in 2016.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 16, 2023, at 11:00 a.m., at St. Clare of Assisi Parish at St. Victor Catholic Church, with Father Dave Carrano officiating. Interment with military rites will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Monroe. Visitation will be at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Tim’s name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the charity of one’s choice. The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
