Monticello, WI — Stuart C. Glover, 82, of Monticello, passed away peacefully June 21, 2024 at the Monroe Hospice House. Stuart was born on April 2, 1942, in Detroit Michigan, the son of Francis Henry and Mabel (Ruff) Glover. He grew up in the Hazel Park and Ferndale suburbs of Detroit and graduated from Ferndale High School in 1960.

Stuart then attended Wayne State University in Detroit, but took a hiatus to enlist in the United States Army in March 1964. After he completed his training at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland, he was sent to Frankfurt, West Germany.

It was there that Stuart met the love of his life, Gabriele Pabst. After he was honorably discharged, he and Gabriele moved to Stuart’s home town of Detroit where they were married on May 6, 1967. Stuart and Gabriele had two children, Michael and Dawn. Stuart went back to Wayne State University and graduated in 1973 with a degree in chemistry. The family then moved to Monticello, Wisconsin. Stuart started working at Janesville Products/Woodbridge in Brodhead and retired from there in 2003 after 30 years of service.

Stuart was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family and going to his two grandson’s sporting events. He was also an avid golfer and entered many tournaments.

Stuart is survived by his loving wife, Gabriele, his son Michael Glover, daughter Dawn Marchwick, and his two grandsons, Jonah and Caleb Marchwick.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home, 29 Sixth Ave., New Glarus, WI with Rev. Kelly Volk officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Highland Cemetery, Monticello, WI.

A visitation will precede the funeral service from 11:30 a.m. until time of services on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Zentner-Beal Funeral Home in New Glarus.
