Norman Clark Hanson, age 81, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024. Norm was born on April 23, 1942 in Madison, WI to Carl and Sylvia (nee Clark) Hanson.
Norm is survived by his wife of 58 years, Carol; daughters Kristin (Kenny) McDonald and Jenni Hanson; granddaughters Kaylee and Kourtney McDonald; along with many other loving family and friends.
Norm is preceded in death by his parents Carl Hanson and Sylvia and Ed Schneeberger.
Norman was raised in Albany, WI and went on to pursue his passion for engineering, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. Norman was a proud Vietnam veteran, serving his country with honor and distinction. On June 26, 1965, he married the love of his life, Carol, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Norman found joy in playing golf and pursuing his hobby of flying planes as a skilled pilot. Norman could often be found cheering on his favorite Wisconsin sports team or tinkering with his beloved John Deere tractors. Throughout his life, Norman dedicated his time to helping others, volunteering at his church, and engaging in community activities.
A celebration of Norman’s life will take place on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Pagenkopf Funeral Home (NEW LOCATION: 2228 N. Silver Maple Lane, Oconomowoc, WI 53066) from 1:00pm-3:00pm with a service to follow. Military honors will be accorded immediately following the service. Pagenkopf Funeral Home is serving the family.
