Neva S. Bower, 88, of Orangeville, IL, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the Community Living Home in Monroe, WI. She was born on March 6, 1932 in Green County, WI to Milton and Grace (Haberman) Prien. Neva married Romaine Bower on November 4, 1956 in Monroe, WI. Together they owned and operated the Bower family farm in Orangeville. She also worked in the cafeteria at Orangeville High School. Neva was a member of the Orangeville United Methodist Church and was active in the Stephenson County Farm Bureau.
Neva is survived by her daughter- Lynn Vandeberg of Orangeville; three sons- Dean Bower of Orangeville, Greg (Liz) Bower of Cascade, IA, and Chad (Sandie) Bower of St. Charles, IL; five grandchildren- Brett, Faith, and Grace Bower all of Cascade, IA, Corey Vandeberg of Orangeville, IL and Marcy Vandeberg of Baileyville, IL; and four great- grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Romaine in 2007; 2 brothers- Henry “Joe” Prien and Robert “Bob” Prien.
A public visitation will be held from 10:00AM-12:00PM on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Cramer-Leamon Funeral Home in Orangeville, IL. Private family funeral services will follow.
Burial will be at the Oneco Cemetery in Oneco, IL.
Pastor Siegfried Schwirblat will be officiating the services.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
